On Sunday 29th June 2025, I had the pleasure of joining a fantastic group of volunteers at The Cloisters, where we spent the day working together on a wide range of jobs throughout the building and its grounds. From gardening and clearing pathways to cleaning and carrying out small repairs, everyone rolled up their sleeves with real energy and care. It was a brilliant reminder of what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.
I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave their time – it was a true team effort, and your hard work made a visible difference. I’d also like to acknowledge the families and friends who supported those who volunteered. Giving up a Sunday isn’t always easy, and your behind-the-scenes encouragement helped make the day possible.
That said, there’s still so much more we can do. The Cloisters is a special place, but it needs the support of many hands to stay that way. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, I genuinely encourage you to join us next time. Whether you come alone or bring someone with you, you’ll be warmly welcomed—and you’ll go home knowing you’ve done something worthwhile.
Let’s keep this momentum going. The Cloisters needs us all!
